William Parsley, O.D.

Dr. William Parsley earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville before going on to earn his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry (SCO) in Memphis. During his time at SCO, Dr. Parsley was an active member of several optometric groups, including the American Optometric Association (AOA), American Optometric Student Association, and the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians’ Student Society.

During his clinical rotations at SCO, Dr. Parsley provided a broad range of patient care, including pediatric and geriatric primary care; low vision therapy; treatment for advanced ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy; and addressed ocular trauma, post-operative cataract surgery patients, and rare ocular diseases.

As an optometric physician at OPMT, Dr. Parsley provides the full spectrum of eye care for routine eye exams and more pressing medical needs, with specialties in treating and managing eye diseases such as dry eye and ocular surface disease. He’s committed to raising awareness of the importance of routine comprehensive eye exams to catch early symptoms of eye diseases, especially among the great diversity of patients he works with.

Outside of work, Dr. Parsley enjoys the outdoors, shooting, dabbling in drumming, and playing with his dog, Yeti.
